Plant Kween introduces their just-for-us collection

“It’s colorful, it’s playful, it’s everything you want for your plant fam, darling.”

“Plant care is self-care.” Plant Kween shares their best tips and tricks for leveling up your plant game, including how to re-pot, propagate and grow yourself along the way.

Do you spy the bold green planters? Their hue matches the vibrant suit Christopher Griffin (aka Plant Kween) wore to our first design meeting.

Plant Kween’s four steps to green up your space

Best plants for beginners? They suggest pothos, ZZ or snake varieties.

1. “Environmental assessment”
Figure out the direction your windows face, plus the humidity levels and temperature in your space—try to mimic your plant’s natural habitat.

2. “Research your green gurls”
Chat up shopkeepers at local businesses and nurseries, since they’re probably plant parents too, (or do a quick Google search) to learn about what your plant needs.

3. “Re-potting, honey”
Nursery plants come in temporary plastic vessels, so you’ll want to find a permanent home for your new green gurl. (This is where our cute collab comes in.)

4. “Plant parent patience”
“Now just leave that queen, let her establish her routine, and trust yourself that you’ve made the best decision possible for that green gurl to thrive.”

“We are basically houseplants with complex emotions, darling. We need a lot of the same things our plants need.”
