Chlöe Bailey’s first apartment is just as glam as you’d expect

See how the star worked with West Elm to create a space that “feels like a big breath of fresh air.”

When multi-hyphenate megastar Chlöe Bailey moved into her Los Angeles apartment, she needed to pack a lot of function into the two-bedroom’s 1,300 square feet. Her new digs would serve as a backdrop for red carpet prep, sibling sleepovers and recording sessions. With a few key pieces to lay the foundation, she turned to West Elm to take her space to the next level.

We worked with Chlöe to transform the apartment into the serene sanctuary of her dreams. The singer’s favorite colors—blue and yellow—can be found throughout the design in sophisticated navy and gold accents. The result? A luxe retreat from her glamorous life in the spotlight.

In the kitchen, sculptural vases and bowls create an eye-catching display with the addition of simple greenery and oranges. Black stoneware is perfect for casual everyday meals, but can be dressed up for gatherings with family and friends.

“It was so fun collaborating with West Elm and finding the holes that hadn’t been filled in my space.”

Chlöe dubs this blue room her personal “zen spot,” a calm place where she can retreat into solitude. The guest room doubles as a chic workspace for taking Zoom calls and recording solo music. “I wanted it to feel like a big breath of fresh air,” she explains. “I love the dark blue sofa and the wallpaper. It feels different than every other room.”

Even though Chlöe has a bedroom quite literally fit for a queen with quilted velvet bedding, wall mirrors and a glam vanity corner, many nights she finds herself sleeping in the living room on the sofa. “Sometimes I’ll get exhausted, lay right down there with my dog, and we’ll wake up like that at 7am,” she confesses.

When she’s not soaking up her city views, Chlöe finds a sense of groundedness through subtle touches of greenery and flowers, indoors and out. In order to avoid being a “bad plant mommy,” she opted for faux plants so she wouldn’t have to be responsible for their care. “They’re easy to keep up with,” she laughs.
