“I’m personally not a fan of overly cute baby rooms,” says Babba Rivera, the founder and CEO of Ceremonia, a clean hair care brand rooted in her Latin heritage. “I tend to lean more toward kids’ furniture that feels like it would fit in with the rest of my home.”

Parents of two kids under two—including a newborn who arrived earlier this spring—Rivera and her husband live in a high-rise Manhattan condo, where space is at a premium. The couple partnered with West Elm Kids to maximize the nursery’s style, function and fun. “I wanted a place to change diapers, a cozy sleeping spot for Alma, space for play and the option to have an adult comfortably stay over when needed,” Rivera says.
